I collect Ihagee and Exakta cameras, all Ihagee equipment and Exakta fitting lenses except Japanese (unless they are exceptional) for many years now. I own about 100 cameras and 200 lenses.I am one of the founders of the, now dormant, Ihagee Historical Group (IHG). I have published an article about the pre-war history of Ihagee and Johan Steenbergen in the dutch Photohistorisch Tijdschrift in 1984 and intend to write more in the near future. I have been too busy with my job for many years to be actively involved in collecting and communicating, but from september last year I have 50% free time, so I am back so to speak. I became a member of the Exakta Circle recently. I maintain contacts with the family of Johan Steenbergen, and am involved in reviewing and improving a biography (ready in concept) of Steenbergen.
