Stefano Pasini
Stefano Pasini was born in Bologna, Italy, Sunday 28th April, 1957. Having always been deeply interested in the European history of the last century, he has studied its more important aspects, military, artistic, architectural, industrial and, of course, political. He graduated in Medicine at the University of Bologna in 1984 (MD), specialising in Ophthalmology at the end of the four-years course of the post-graduation school, magna cum laude, in 1988.
His lifelong interest for classic, collectable and 'special' cars has brought him a parallel career as a writer in the automobile sector, with 17 books published internationally so far, about Porsche, Maserati, Jaguar and Ferrari. He's acknowledged as the leading expert about Lamborghini automobiles. His contributions as a motoring journalist span from Italy to England and Korea, with hundreds of features published on the pages of magazines like "AutoCapital", "Autopiť", "Fast Lane" "The Daily Telegraph", "Automotive Interiors", "Auto Design", "Car Test" and many others.
His last book, "The Night Watch", is his first fiction work, and depicts a war scenario between 1942 and 1943, mainly in the night skies over Germany. The main character of this book loves his Exakta....
Pasini collects old cameras, especially Nikon F and Exaktas, and was an active photographer for years. Now he takes only few pictures using, mainly, a Leica M6. Married with Anna since 1996, he lives in Bologna. He is a charter member of Rotary Club Bologna-Carducci and still pursues his two parallel careers as a doctor and a writer. The picture was taken by Anna in August, 1998, in Assisi, with her Leica Minilux.
